Happy 2024 National Apprenticeship Week! I heartily recommend this webcast from The Brookings Institute as an excellent overview of the impact of apprenticeships nationwide:
Kudos to Koey Keylon and Pharma's Almanac for publishing this great summary of the state of the biotechnology skilled technical workforce and the challenges present for both job seekers and employers. There is a lot to be learned from the Oklahoma program as well as from Shoreline Community College (and so many others)!

BioFabUSA welcomed the inaugural cohort of the first-of-its-kind Biofabrication Technician Registered Apprenticeship Program in November. Apprentices completed customized coursework in math, biology, chemistry, and cell culture, along with soft skills and hands-on training to prepare them for the workplace. Participants will begin a year of on-the-job training, with pay and benefits, in late January 2024.
